Love Someone

Canadian duo Sargeant x Comrade deliver a real time machine banger with their latest release "Love Someone". This one takes me straight back to the late 90's and early 00's, thanks to a seriously wonderful, oldschool style instrumental and beautifully matching soul vocals. Today we would probably call this lo-fi, but in reality there was a lot of house music that sounded like this back in the day. Think King Kooba, Mr. Fingers, Rithma, Armand Van Helden or even early Kaskade from the time when vinyl was still more normal than CDJs. This style of music is utterly timeless and with a touch of jazzy elements, old samples and Yolanda Sargeant's soothing vocal, this one lines up alongside all the classics for me personally. Together with the original mix, there is remix from Mo Gravy, which takes things slightly more acoustic, with a groovy guitar feature for an even more laidback, yet still upbeat vibe.
