Intercontinental Funk

Invoker has had his share of bad luck. I originally planned to feature an amazing remix he did, but in a turn of events the vocalist on the original track (who approved of the remix) suddenly didn't approve of the remix anymore and filed a copyright claim against Invoker. Good thing Invoker still kept his cool and decided to release a new track together with Julia Lewis called "Intercontinental Funk". As the title suggests, this is indeed a funky track, but it also has a distinct downtempo chillout vibe to it. There's no release date available for this track yet, but as always you can stream the track all you want right here:

L.A. based producer Salda has remixed Emelie Haynie's track "Come Find Me" feat. Lost

German wunderkind Fabich is back with a fresh remix for SAINT WKND feat. INGLSH's "Lost". With a snappin' house beat and a fresh sounding bass melody, this remix goes of like sting. The beautiful vocal is incorporated nicely which results in the emotions of the original being transfered into this clubbier version. This might not only be one of my favourite remixes from Fabich so far, it's also one of the best remixes I have come across during the entire year. "Lost" (Fabich Remix) is out now as part of the official remix package, which also features remixes by Jetique, Elènne, Made in Paris and Matroda.

Producer Adieu is responsible for this next track, which is a remix of Jay Z feat. Justin Timberlake's "Holy Grail". With a majestic trap like orchestral horn drop this version has a lot of punch and power. Adieu's version still has a powerful hip hop vibe, yet the electronic elements make it sound like a crossover between Louis The Child and Louis Futon. Conversations In The A.M.

Shoffy, who has treated us all with amazing tracks and remixes such as "Lonely Up Here" and "Eat Your Friends" has now released a new EP called "Conversations In The A.M.". The EP contains 6 tracks and each of those tracks are great examples of the different styles and sounds Shoffy can do extremely well. There's tracks like "Takes My Body Higher" which is more upbeat and then there are tracks like "Ride" or even "Wild" (see below) which are more easy going. All tracks are however great for easy listening and "Conversations In The A.M." is out now, so make sure to get yourself an early Christmas present and grab yourself a copy of the EP. Drift

Today's first track is Drake's "Hotline Bling" in a buttery smooth version by Papermind, using the cover by Conor Maynard. All the silliness that surrounds the original mix (or maybe it's just the music video) is destroyed. Drake's "Hotline Bling" just got super classy and good sounding and this remix really shows what could have been. This remix/cover really adds the Bling back to the Hotline! Enjoy :)

Exclusive Premiere: Låpsley - Burn (Vasta Remix)

If you have been following the blog for a while, you will remember the producer Vasta for the fine remixes of Aaliyah's "One In A Million" or "America" by XYLØ amongst others. Now it's time for something different though! With the newest remix of Låpsley's "Burn", Vasta is taking things one deeper. As you will hear as soon as you hit play, this is a much heavier and darker sound profile than what you might be used to, but it suits a track like "Burn" tremendously well. The deep and dark vibe is enhanced by a heavy bass sound, however a subtle and calming melody and some atmospheric synths lighten up the track. Give the remix a good listen and grab a free download via the link below. You can also check out the original track for comparison :)

Burned

If you've read the interview Infectious Magazine did with me a while ago, you know that I am a big fan of Kaskade. So when the grand master releases a new remix I have to share it with you :-) Kaskade has worked with music by Thomas Sagstad before (Under The Stars and Invisible At 5AM) and those two have been monumental. What's a bit odd is that I have failed to look up the original version of "Burned", so if somebody can hook me up with a link I would appreciate it. That being said this new remix, which is Kaskade's first since releasing his album "Automatic", sparkles with energy, with thundering drums, catchy melody and a great vocal. Kaskade's remix of "Burned" is out now via his own label Arkade and you can pick it up from your preferred online retailer or streaming service. Enjoy :)

Darkest Sound

Today's first track comes from U.S. house genius Amtrac and it's called "Darkest Sound". The title might make you think that this is a very dark track, but it's actually quite nice and bright considering Amtrac's style. The light synths gives the track an atmospheric and open vibe that's really lush and fresh sounding. Amtrac is also heading on a new tour titled "Lost In Motion". If you're in the U.S. check time and place on the post above to catch Amtrac live.

We All Fall Down

The track "We All Fall Down" by A-Trak has been remixed by the one and only INSTRUM and the result is awesome. Follow Me

LA based producer Justin Jay has teamed up with hus buddies Josh Taylor and Benny Bridges for his newest release called "Karma". The track has a deep, yet melodic and lush vibe. The bass gives the track a full-bodied character, while the guitar makes the track sparkle and lightens it up quite a bit. This is one of my favourite tracks from Justin Jay and hopefully there will be more music coming out like this in the future. "Karma" is set to release on November 24th via Black Butter Records. Purpose

So you might wonder why the first song in today's post is a track from Justin Bieber's new album. Well...there's a super awesome reason for that. First, it's a great song and second, it was co-produced and co-written by a MYWLT favourite Steve James. Just a few years ago, Steve James was just doing his thing making his dope remixes and all of the sudden he is producing for a global phenomenon. It's a remarkable achievement and a giant leap forward for Steve James as a producer. Please give the track a good listen below and check out Steve's social media to stay up to date with his latest projects :)

Painted In Gold

The last few weeks have been quite busy and a lot of excellent tracks have been released too, so it's time again to catch up and share some of those that I missed.

The first by Strange Talk called "Painted In Gold" in the Robotaki remix. Robotaki is one of those few artists that when you hear there's new music out, you know it's good before you even had a chance to listen to it. Now...just to be sure :) I did have a listen to this...and more than a few times. Combining the best of the original vibe, with Robotaki's heavy and buzzing electronic synths are a match made in heaven. There's no release date available for this one, but feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

Up next is a track by Maroon 5 called "Sugar" here in the Spencer Brown remix. With some ambient electro synth sounds he's taken "Sugar" and made it extra sweet. Over And Over Again

Elephante has released a new remix and this time it's Nathan Sykes' track "Over And Over Again" that gets his special treatment. If you have been following MYWLT for a while you should have heard a few of Elephante's releases by now and if you have then you'll definitely recognise Elephante's awesome sound and energetic sense of melody making. This one is a proper earworm, so feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

Walk Away

German producer Hansolo is back with a fresh new remix of LANY's "Walk Away". Up next is a new remix from Chicago based producer Kiso. The track he's remixed is "Sunrise" by AxMod & Voyage Machine and while the original was a clear 10 out of 10, this is more like 11 or at least just as good. The deep and ambient house vibe that Kiso has created for this track is pure bliss and it makes the great vocal stand out even more too. The added guitar melody also creates a spectacular vibe which really fits with the theme of "Sunrise". You can pick up Kiso's remix for free or stream it all you want right here below. Enjoy :)

Gio

Yesterday you might have been wondering...wait..what? No post? What is happening? Well...sometimes it's just time for a personal day. Since MYWLT launched in 2011 there hasn't been one day without a post here. So it was kind of weird for me too, not having a post ready for you. Time to make up for that...here are two great new tunes!

DEVolution is back with a fantastic piece called "Gio" feat. Yeah Boy. It's a smooth bass driven house track earworm. After listening to this just once it got stuck on my mind. "Gio" is part of an upcoming EP called "Same But Different" set to be released on November 27. The EP will include another track called "Rockin'" too, but until then you can stream and download "Gio" right here below. Enjoy :)

With the next track comes a bit of backstory. Remember THIS post? It featured Sydnee B's track "That Way". Turns out he's not the only one who made a track very similar to this. The producer Mantra supposedly leased the track out to a few other artists who released their version of the track (incl. Sydnee B), before Kwaku had the exclusive rights and had a chance to release his version of the track. Surely this must have been quite a frustrating situation for Kwaku. That doesn't change the fact that his version of the track is really dope. You'll notice the lyrics are different and that his vocal is very unique and captivating. Check it out for yourself and pick up a copy via Itunes. Enjoy :)

Home

Today's first track is something quite different than what you'll usually find on MYWLT. The track is called "Home" by Neil Thomas and it's a great sounding indie release. What made it stand out for me was the great vocal and the awesome lyrics. The upbeat tempo gives the track a somewhat positive vibe and a dope energy. "Home" is part of a four track EP which is also called "Home". The single "Home" is available now, while the remaining EP is set for release on February 19th. Give it a listen below and get a copy via Itunes. Enjoy :)

You might have stumbled across KOLAJ when they were featured on a track by Kaskade called "Whatever". Their latest single "The Touch" has now been remixed by a few selected producers and one of them is Kid. Miradors

Lane 8 has had the opportunity to remix "Miradors" by Solomon Grey and the result is exciting. The sound is deep and hypnotic, yet he manages to combine it with a lot of emotions as well which makes the track really really cool. The arp like synth and the industrial sounding bass enhances this vibe and makes me want to listen to this on repeat. Give it a listen yourself and grab a copy via Itunes (link below). Yesterday London based Tom Misch dropped a new single called "Twinkle Twinkle". With some awesome harp action and a Kaytranada style beat, the young producer is testing out new grounds. The upbeat and melodic vibe is not new for Tom, but if you've been following his Twitter feed, the wish to find a way to recreate a Kaytra-style beat has been on his mind for some time. The result is absolute killer and thus it is nearly impossible to sit or stand still while listening to the track. Try it yourself! Lover

Amtrac is not trying to hold back at all and keeps pushing out new releases. This time it's a new original called "Lover". In a way this is a very classic Amtrac release, as you can hear from both beat and and the way the vocal is implemented. "Lover" however also has a more funky side thanks to a very cool sounding bassline. You can stream "Lover" right here below or via Spotify where it is part of Kitsuné's "Hot Stream" (see link below):

The next track is a cover of Justin Bieber's "Sorry". The producer Kayge Calypso wasn't able to find the acapella anywhere, so he solved the problem by covering the song himself. That has paid off in my mind, showing off Kayge's skills behind the mic as well. This cover/remix is a proper earworm so make sure to give it a listen and grab a free download via the link below:

No More

Pierce Fulton is on fire with his newest release called "No More". Although still unconfirmed, it is safe to say that the track features EDEN on vocals. Maybe you'll remember Pierce's remix of EDEN's "Nocturne" and you'll spot that it's the same vocalist. In my mind "No More" is Pierce's best release to date, combining his great acoustic guitar sound with a catchy and punchy electronic sound on the drop. Pierce Fulton's approach to creating easily approachable electronic music is his success formula that makes him stand out of the crowd. "No More" is out now via Armada and available for streaming/purchase via the link below. Enjoy :)

Middle

As a bonus for today, here is a track by DJ Snake called "Middle" feat. Bipolar Sunshine. In my mind this is probably DJ Snake's best release to date. The vocal by Bipolar Sunshine really gives the track a relaxing vibe, while the drop adds just the right amount energy to get the track going. DJ Snake was recently in a car crash together with his colleague Tchami. Fortunately both escaped the episode without major injuries and are slowly but steadily getting back to doing their thing. Next Lifetime

UK based producer Kayper has released a new single called "Next Lifetime" and it's a delightful mix of fusion, house, funk and soul. The vocal on this track is an absolute stunner, making this track stand out of the crowd. "Next Lifetime" has a lot of oldschool disco references, yet the instrumental manages to keep things modern as well, primarily due to that excellent synth pad that's being used. There's no release date for this, but you can stream it all you want right here below:

Up next is a brand new release from German producer The Fat Rat called "Monody". The track opens with a grand orchestral intro, followed by a great and catchy melody with the characteristic The Fat Rat sound. The orchestral parts also give the track a very celtic/mysterious vibe and the vocal interlude featuring Laura Brehm really underlines this sensation. Happy Saturday everyone! Here are some new tunes for you to enjoy :) First up is a new release by Jojee. The second I hit that play button for this track I knew that it was something special. Her new track "Claim" is a marble and combines elements trap/indie/pop/fusion. The instrumental is on point and works really well with the recognisable vocal of Jojee. Echo

NYC based duo Truth & Lies just dropped a remix for Cut Snake's "Echo" and it's awesome. The verses are really calming, while the buildup gets its energy from some dope piano house style chords. Let It Go

Today's first track comes from LZRS TXN and is called "Let It Go". It's a mix of deep house and hip hop and it's balanced just right. The hypnotic synth intro is just on point and very relaxing to listen to. The track develops slowly and once the vocal comes in, you just won't be able to "Let It Go" anymore. There's no release date for the track yet, but you can stream it all you want right here below. Enjoy :)

Up next is brand new remix by Two Friends. The duo are walking down memory lane with their version of Blink-182's "I Miss You". Their remix has their characteristic punchy and catchy piano melody on the drop and it all works surprisingly well together with this early 00's track. Personally I am quite sceptical of rock/dance combo's, but this one knocks it out of the park with it' great energetic, yet still very emotional vibe.
