Milk & Honey

LA based producer Cruels has released a nice single called "Milk & Honey" feat. PrXmise. With a solid and really catchy house instrumental this track just sounds good from second one. The vocal suits the "Milk & Honey" too and the vocal chopping on the drop, gives the track a nice extra kick and energy. What I like the most about this track though is the synth line, it's simple, yet it has a very pleasant sound. Check out the track for yourself right here below, or stream via Spotify. Enjoy :)

Staying in LA, Two Friends return with a remix for Mako's "Way Back Home". I love how the duo managed to use the quiet parts from the original track, but then power it up with their characteristic punchy piano sound, which adds plenty of energy and a catchy melody to rock out to. For me, this remix has already turned into a proper earworm that I can't stop listening to. This remix is an official remix for Mako, so you can stream it via all the official channels or pick up a copy via Itunes or Beatport. Check the link below:

And guess what... for the third and final track we also stay in LA :) RYDER has released this awesome piece of indie electronica called "Fade Away". Emotions

London based A-Minor has released a new track called "Emotions". The track samples Destiny's Child's classic track "Emotions" and has been combined with a lush sounding tropical style instrumental. The sound is relaxing and would fit perfectly in a chillout set. Unfortunately there's no mention of a release date or download option, but feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

Elephante also has a new track up his sleeve. This is by far one of my favourites tracks ever by the US based producer. The track features a beautiful vocal by Bishøp, which really makes this track shine. With the instrumental, Elephante has captured his signature sound and added just the right amount of omph too. I particularly like the buildup, just before the drop. It's absolutely on point. How this is available as a free download is beyond my understanding, so make sure to pick up a link below:

Weatherman

LA based producer Justin Jay returns with a new single called "Weatherman" which is a track that's part of his upcoming series of EP's. These will then come together in an album format latter under the title "Fantastic Voyage". This particular track however is a dope mix of classic rock music and electronic music. The blend between the two genres is so awesome, making for a great summer track. Check it out below or stream via Spotify:

Up next is a new track by Christofi. Maybe you remember his cool Mariah Carey remix from a while back, but now he's back with an original called "Don't Need You" feat. J.Ven. It's a cracking house track, with a dope piano house structure, which sounds absolutely on point. It's a really catchy track too, so you can learn the lyrics and sing along with ease :D Christofi is giving this one away for free, so grab a copy via the link below:

While I was away last week, this awesome remix also appeared. This is King Deco's "Castaway" in the Keljet Remix. The Dutch producer duo has enhanced the tropical vibes on this jam, but for the drop creates a more deep house style vibe. It suits the track really well and the catchy bass line makes you want to move about to the rhythm. You can pick up a free download of this remix via the link below. Enjoy :)

8000 EP

I was recently asked by someone what Danish music sounds like. I ironically showed them a clip of Keld and Hilda Heick singing "Jeg Ringer På Fredag". If you don't know this song...spare yourself.

Instead I want to guide your attention towards an EP called 8000 by Danish producers RAVNI and Martin Hellfritzsch. I don't think I've actually come across an multiartist EP, but hey...there's a first for everything. The EP named after the postal code for the producers' hometown Århus features 3 tracks in total, plus remixes by Runge, Havana Dub and Deep Matter. However, below you'll just find the original mix version.

The three tracks below are all amazing house tunes. RAVNI sticks to horns as his driver for the main melody on "Together", while Martin Hellfritzsch takes a more deep house approach with "Back In The Days". Their collab track "Rhodes" is a great combination between Hellfritzsch deep club sound and RAVNI's sense for melodies.

8000 EP is out now via Chuggy Trax and available on Traxsource (link below):

Easter Special

Hope your Easter baskets have been filled to the brim with chocolate and all other good stuff. Today I got a real special treat for all of you.

Lost Kings (you should know these two guys by now), have had the opportunity to remix Rihanna's hit "Work" feat. Drake. In my humble opinion this remix is the best in the "official" remix bundle, which also includes remixes by Burns, R3hab and Bad Royale. The version by Lost Kings might be bit different from their regular style, but it is super awesome on this Rihanna track...it's so good, it doesn't even sound like a remix! There's no way to download this awesome remix yet, but I will update you if this changes. Until then, feel free to stream it here below:

(Update: Check Spotify, Tidal or Apple Music for alternative streaming options)

Slippin'

I wanna fly like an eagle, to the sea, fly like and eagle, let my spirit carry me...You might remember this line from Steve Miller Band's classic hit, maybe you remember the remake by Seal, maybe you watched Space Jam with Bucks Bunny....either way this famous song has now been covered again (or sampled) by Lincoln Jesser and this new track called "Slippin'". This version is fantastic, it's simple, yet super effective. The track delivers a great chillout vibe which fits well with the idea of "fly like an eagle", but then the deep house elements come in and take over. A thumbing bass and kick drum takes the track to another level and that's pretty much it. Perfection achieved! Check it out for yourself and grab a copy or stream via the link below:

Up next is a new release by DEVolution called "Rockin'" The title really gives it away, because this is indeed rockin'. Style wise this track pays homage to some of the great house music pioneers such as Frankie Knuckles, Swing 52, Inner City, etc. It's a really dope track and it's a great tribute to the sounds of original house music. "Rockin'" will be out on April 8th, but until then you can stream it all you want right here below:

To wrap everything up I give you new track by Jetique who has teamed up with the duo MYNGA for this house piece called "Bring Me Down". The bass line on this track is absolutely fire and the piano house jam makes the track sound incredibly catchy. "Bring Me Down" is a great example between new and oldschool house, combining the best of both worlds. Oh...and it's available as a free download too! How awesome is that?! :)

Drop Your Love

It's good to be back! After being away most of this week, I am excited to be bringing you new music again :)

First up is a track by Aussie based producer Young Franco feat. DiRTY RADiO called "Drop Your Love". This is a piece of happy/feel good house music. You know the vibes are dope as soon as you hear those classy piano chords and the catchy synth hook. The vocal is pretty darn crisp too, with a delightful soul vibe.

Up next is something for all you bass aficionados. Here's Consoul Trainin & Michael Karrera with "Time Goes By". Apart from the recognisable sample, what this track really does well is bass, bass and...oh yeah...bass. The bass line is what this track is all about and it's absolutely brilliant. It's a proper deep house track and it's out now via KudoZ Records. Grab a copy via Beatport (see link below).

Finally, to wrap up today's post here's TroyBoi with "And Wot?". Fahrenheit

Even though I am away from the internet, I thought I'd prepare a little post to get you going and to start this new week.

Here's XY&O with the track "Fahrenheit" in the Shades remix. NYC based duo Shades have given this track a few notches more of cool clubbiness and a really catchy hook on the drop. Better

This coming week I will be away, so please excuse me if you come by the blog and there's no new music for you to discover. I will try to have something fresh up for you every day, but maybe this time it won't be possible...just so you know what's up :)

For today I will leave you with this delicious piece of disco and funk by Wingtip called "Better". The positive sound on this tune is very contagious and it's bound to put a smile on your face. I am not a 100% sure about the origin of the vocal...but i'm guessing it's a heavily pitched Mary J. Blige from the track "Just Fine". Please correct me if I am wrong. Ocean Eyes

Today's first track is a remix by Canadian masterminds Young Bombs for Billie Eilish's "Ocean Eyes". Young Bombs decided to do a remix of this track due to the beautiful vocal by Billie Eilish and who can blame them for doing that. Her vocal is indeed very special and Young Bombs have created an equally special instrumental to go with her vocal. While the duo was working hard on getting this remix done, Martin Kottmeier's father passed away due to an aggressive type of cancer, which is why this remix is also dedicated to his father (you can read the comment on Soundcloud) Dear Martin...if you read this, my most sincere condolences to you and your family in this difficult time!

Let's all have a moment of silence to think of the people we love.

Love You More

Three tracks coming your way today so let's get going!

The first one is "Love You More" by KREAM, here in the Ben Zamora remix. I love the future'esque house approach Ben has gone with for this remix. It gives the track a lot of extra energy and it actually works really well together with elements of the original track. Ben Zamora's remix is available as a free download via the link below:

Next up is a remix for The Chainsmoker's latest hit "Don't Let Me Down" by Chicago based duo Win & Woo. The sound they've gone with for this one is surprisingly different. The vibe is very uplifting and alternative. I think it's a bold and refreshing move by the duo and I like that this was very different from what I was expecting when I first got introduced to the remix. You can grab this remix for free too via the link below:

Finally, here's a track by Halifax based duo Wet Paint called "Setting The Stage". This track has a lovely future bass vibe, combined with elements of trap and indie pop. I love the vocal, it's very dreamy sounding. The drop provides an interesting, yet catchy melodic interlude, which also gives the track its theme. Something Good

The Good EP by Lost Kings is complete with this second release called "Something Good". The other track on the EP is "Marathon", which you'll remember if you read the blog or listen to the channel via Hype Machine of Shuffler.fm. "Something Good" is nothing short of the goodness. It's a happy sounding tune and I love the simple, yet catchy instrumental. The vocal was performed by LA based Bryce Fox and it's absolutely on point! Another EP that has seen its full release is "Future Soup" by Autograf. Their EP contains 5 awesome tracks, some with lyrics, some purely instrumental. I love the sounds they've used throughout this EP. A track like "Horizons" takes the listener more towards techno and deep house, where a track like "Slow Burn" has more blissfull moments using more organic sounds. There's really something for everyone on this EP. I've picked the two before mentioned tracks for you to listen to here, but be sure to get/stream the full EP via Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport etc. (see link below).

I Took a Pill In Ibiza

Today's first track comes from Kiso, who has made this cool summer filled cover of "I Took A Pill In Ibiza", which was originally made by Mike Posner. The vocal was performed by Kayla Diamond and that was an excellent choice. The tracks guitar parts are super cool and make me think of bonfire nights. Overall the instrumental sounds upbeat and positive, even considering the somewhat sad lyrics. Either way...you can get all that on repeat of you just pick up the free download via the link below. Enjoy :)

Can you get too much funk? No, I don't think so! And neither does Solidisco with this new release called "Get In Love". It's an upbeat French house/funk track with lots of energy. Premiere: Safe & Sound (Simon Field Remix)

You're in for a treat today with this brand new remix from Norwegian producer Simon Field for Grammy nominated Alfred Hall's "Safe & Sound". I am not in doubt when calling out this remix as being one of the best I have ever heard from Simon Field. Everything just adds up on this track and parts of the original track are respectfully and beautifully incorporated into the remix. My favourite part of the track is the sparkly breakdown just before the bass filled drop. It's magical and makes the drop stand out even more! One, Two

Maybe you have recently asked yourself...who made this dope track that is playing on the Live Stage Trailer for Miami UMF 2016? If you don't know what I am talking about, check out the video below:

Luckily there's more to this tune than the video's 1:06 minute playtime. The track is called "One, Two" and was made by one of my favourite producers, German based wunderkind Fabich.

I am not going to tease you a long time for the full track...here it is:

This is a purebred house track with all the bells and whistle you can expect and hope for. The bass line on the drop packs a lot of energy and the piano chords make for a simple, yet powerfull melody.
Fabich's modern masterpiece becomes available today via Beatport and will hit all other portals on March 28th.

If that wasn't enough, Fabich also recently release a remix for Kungs vs Cookin' On 3 Burners' "This Girl". This remix is absolute fire, but unfortunately there's no release date for it. However feel free to rock out to it anyway via the link below:

Lose Control

Norwegian producer and DJ Máurice has created this bounce heavy remix of Missy Elliott "Lose Control". It's a powerful remix with a serious hypnotic vibe, giving the track a lot of energy. The way Máurice has applied the vocal from the original track is also super cool and makes for a cool breakup, followed by an awesome buildup. Weight Of It All

Swedish duo Cape Lion have remixed today's first track for Handsome Ghost's "Weight Of It All". Cape Lion have made the track more clubby, with a hint of tropical and chillout (call it "Feel Good House" if you want). The drop got my attention immediately with its experimental vocal effect melody. This method has been used quite a lot since Jack U's "Where Are U Now", but the way it's applied here is still very different. I like it, maybe you like it too. Check it out below:

Up next is a track with a lot more omph! If you follow MYWLT you will have come across Amtrac's excellent "Long Nights". This track has now been remixed by LA based Durante and it's deep. I'd say this remix is somewhere between deep house and techno. I love the bass on this track in particular and the nice balance between verse and drop. The drop itself is quite dense, but it's also what makes the track extra awesome! There's no mention of an official release date for this one, but feel free to stream it all you want below:

Smoke Signals

Hotel Garuda have released a new single called "Smoke Signals" via PRMD. The track has elements from various genres, but that's not really what's important. The sound is important!!! The bass is phenomenal and there's a good balance between the upbeat and downbeat parts of the track. The vocal helps set the scene for the track and the track never goes all crazy at any point. It's a really refined track and that is somethings that's worth appreciating. Fans of Hotel Garuda will recognise the style and new fans will have something to discover on this one. Up next is a new single by SOFI TUKKER called "Hey Lion". Listening to this track gives me serious jungle vibes. It's a cool and different sounding track and it's perhaps something you wouldn't expect to find here on the blog. The bass line give the track a really characteristic feel and it's also super catchy. Bad Habits

Today's first track is called "Bad Habits" by They. and this is the Neonhund remix. It's a smooth future inspired electronica track, with a hint of RnB, trap and hip hop vibe. It's a very interesting track to listen to, it's laid back and it has a cool wobble-like drop that makes it stand out. This combined with more organic sounds from a piano and xylophone, makes this pretty unique. There's no mention of a release date, but feel free to stream it all you want right here below:

After having released that awesome remix for Gwen Stefani's "Yummy", German producer Mogul returns with another remix, this time for Paperwhite and their track "Unstoppable". Castles

Canadian duo Project 46 have teamed up with BYNON for a release they call "Castles". It's a sweet melodic deep house track with a beautiful and positive sounding melody. It's a very calming piece of house music, with some soothing vocals and bouncy drop. "Castles" is out now on Kaskade's label arkade and you can pick up a copy via Itunes (see link below).

Speaking of Kaskade, the legend has released an extended mix for his track "US" which he did together with CID for the album Automatic. Especially if you're a DJ you will appreciate the extra long intro and outro on this amazing track. I also tend to prefer extended mixes as I prefer having that extra buildup of excitement before the main parts of the song begin.

Last, but not least, I want to drop a special new track by Lost Kings. The LA based duo just released a new single called "Marathon" feat. Cosmos & Creature. This track will be part of their "The Good EP", which will see the light of day on March 11th. "Marathon" has a sweet summer like vibe and some really catchy lyrics to sing along to. Pierce Fulton returns with a new remix for Echos' "All I Want". If you're used to Pierce's sound, this might surprise you. It's sounds remarkable different, but he still gives it all on his guitar. Pierce has even made a video showing his remixing process. It's something he has done with other releases too, but it's pretty cool and shows his crazy skill and use of real instruments. All Night Every Night

London based duo HOST have released a cracking debut single called "All Night Every Night". It's a catchy indie electronica track with a deep garage style vibe. Both members of HOST (Ben Leverock and Tommy) have sung on the track and Steve Dub (who has also done work for The Chemical Brothers) has been in charge of mixing. It's a great start for the duo and it's going to be interesting to hear what the two have in store throughout 2016. This track just sounds amazing! Just Let It Go

Today I want to start on a different note. This first track comes from NYC based Nozart and it's called "Just Let It Go". While it still has some electronic music references, this track does not represent the classic club sound that you'll usually find around here. There's just something really cool about this track. Maybe it's because it sounds like an old Beatles track, maybe it's the grande chorus or it's catchy melody. I can't really tell what it is, but it has captured my attention and I think it sounds awesome. While there's no release date available for this one, you can stream it all you want right here below:

Up next is something way more clubby. This is a track called "Like A Melody" by producer dup Joyzu feat. Olivia Reid. It's a future sounding track, with plenty of omph and bass and a great vocal. It's hints towards trap, but really it is not. It's very atmospheric and at the same time very energetic. Overall there's a nice balance between these two elements.
