Bringing Me Joy
The UK garage scene is really gaining fast momentum currently and I love it! This one comes from BVNQUET, who has teamed up with Pretty Boy Face for the single "Brining Me Joy". As the title suggests, it does indeed bring you joy when you listen to this. The track has a wonderful groove, a positive and upbeat vibe and some slick vocals that really glues everything together, enhancing the UK'ness of this piece. The initial vocal sample which sounds a bit like it came from a Jackson 5 track, can also be found on the excellent on "Blessings" from Eshon Burgundy (definitely worth checking it out if you like hip hop). That is also where the similarities end, as this is nothing but a bop! If you like Disclosure, SG Lewis or Duck Sauce, then this should be right up your alley.
