Bodies on the Floor (Banyan Remix)
U.S.-based singer-songwriter JT Roach, who recently released his first album "Death As A Lover," has had the single "Bodies On The Floor" remixed by the duo Banyan, and it's a track you simply have to check out. Representing the best of both artists' sound catalog, you'll get to experience JT Roach's amazing vocals, which take you on a hauntingly beautiful lyrical journey, wrapped in the calm and blissful electronic soundscape that defines Banyan's audio signature. The combination presented reminds me of a blend of all the B's: Bonobo, Burial, Bon Iver... okay, maybe also Ry X, but I'm sure we all hear slightly different references anyway. The remix boasts a contemporary style and personally, I love the choice of a UK Garage-style beat, which makes the track feel alive and even a bit energetic at times, contrasting with the more serene parts of the track.
