Rain On Mercury
Jamaica based producer duo consisting of Xavier Prendergast and Tariq Smith are the artists behind today's pick. The two are better known as KWM (Kamau World Music) and with this single called "Rain On Mercury" they have now dropped their second release of their young project. Sonically the track combines elements from deep house, chillwave and pop, mixing organic sounds with structures of electronic dance music, even including a bit of afro-caribbean influences. The vibe is both relaxing and meditative, but also melancholic and dreamy at the same time. The vocal is one you might have come across before elsewhere, like for instance on Griffon's single "Falling For You", but it has been totally transformed beautifully to match the feeling of "Rain on Mercury".
