Written in just six hours during a cold December day, the track contrasts its summery vibe with its wintery origins. Inspired by artists like Joy Anonymous and Romy, the song blends bright synths and pulsating beats to create a feeling of liberation. Growing up in the Scottish countryside, Emily Atkinson (Fourth Daughter) found her passion in music, drawing from synth-heavy influences like Rufus Du Sol and Jamie xx. Higher (Just A Feeling) reflects her unique ability to craft emotionally resonant, upbeat electronic music that invites listeners to feel free and uplifted.

"Higher (Just A Feeling)" comes out together with another track called "Look What You've Done", which  features more distinct dance music elements and in parts reminiscent of tracks like RM's "My Love".
