Pastel
Every once in a while, a track comes along that doesn’t just play, it lingers. Like sunlight flickering on the walls of a familiar room, "Pastel" by muuju feels like a memory you can’t quite place but don’t want to lose.
The Berlin-based producer Andreas Schütz, known from the duo il:lo, introduces a more intimate side of his sound with this solo project. As muuju, he leans into mood and instinct, drawing from dream pop, downtempo electronica, and the repetition found in minimalist music.
“Pastel” is the second single from his upcoming debut EP "Bedforms", releasing later this year on Future Archive Recordings. The track floats in that sweet spot between structure and atmosphere, reminding us of early ford., the warmth of FKJ, or even the softer moments from Kaskade’s Arkade Destinations compilations. If you’re into music that lets you breathe, think, and let go, this is worth your time.
