Don't Make Me (Steve James Remix)
One of my favourite new discoveries of last year was singer/songwriter Lyrah, whom came to my attention through a remix of her song "Don't Make Me" by Goldhouse. Now the Grammy nominated producer Steve James, who coincidentally comes from the same hometown as Lyrah (Johnstown, PA), has made his own version of this amazing tune. Steve's remix takes things 'one deeper' compared to the version by Goldhouse, yet still maintains that sweet melancholic vibe that makes this earworm so good. A groovy bass line holds everything down, making this a radio friendly dance tune you can enjoy at any time of the day. In Steve's own words, this remix is along the lines of his interpretation of Zara Larson's "Ruin My Life", just with a darker twist. Sounds good? Get your streaming right here:
