Burning Up On Reentry

After a stint of club friendly tunes here on MYWLT, it's long overdue to dig out some great indie pieces. To pick this up again, here is an interesting one from New York based artist Ben Wyeth, called "Burning Up On Reentry". The song is inspired by a dream, in which Ben was on a trip to L.A. Here a friend of his was doing some celebratory shirtless dancing, as music licensers were loving his music. During this ordeal, the friend was singing a song...apparently something similar to what is now "Burning Up On Reentry. Apart from this quirky origin story (which in fairness also explains the cover art), there's just something about this one. The track has a distinct retro feel about it, a catchy melody and a likeable sound profile that makes you want to hear it again and again. Get your first listen here:
