Drivers License (Vandelux Remix)
Olivia Rodrigo is currently all the rage with her single release "Drivers License". Originally produced by Daniel Nigro, who previously has worked with the likes of Sky Ferreira and Carly Rey Jepsen, he takes the listener on an emotional journey with his on point production. Despite it being a good song, I'm sure they did not anticipate such a dramatic rise to fame, so perhaps unsurprisingly "Drivers License" has already received its first remixes (or rather bootlegs). Should you be sceptical about this...maybe...but San Francisco based producer Vandelux hit all the right notes with his remix. Starting out with a dry house beat and a wroomy bassline, he slowly opens up this melancholic track and gives it a surprisingly well-suited club vibe. I really don't hate this and it's a nice early alternative to the original in my opinion. You can even snatch a free download for your ol' mp3 player if that's your deal. Enjoy!
