Today's tune comes from Charlotte, North Carolina's very own Diskull, who has solidified his place in the dance music industry with notable label releases on some of the biggest imprints in the game. You'll find his beats on labels like Insomniac, Dirtybird, Box of Cats, Country Club Disco, and Do Not Duplicate. But let's rewind a bit and dive into his journey.
Diskull's ascent began in early 2021 when he unleashed his remix of "Bodies Rushing" on his very own Groovy Bone label. This remix quickly caught fire, climbing to an impressive #30 spot on the Beatport Tech House Hype Chart. Moreover, it grabbed the attention of influential DJs, earning radio show plays by none other than CID on Diplo's Revolution, Golf Clap on Insomniac Radio, and the UK's Deeper Purpose on Repopulate Mars' Jumpin' Jam Fest live stream.
Now he returns with a brand new two-sided release, which includes the track "Letyago". This is a groovy bass house/electro house swinger that personally reminds me a lot of Bleu Claire, Ottoro or Matroda. It combines sonic elements that both feel recognisable, but also fresh and new.
